Free Screening
Through the free screening, we hope to discover more undiagnosed elderly patients with heart disease. During the community screening, if participants are found to have any of the three major heart issues (coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, and valvular heart disease), we can provide free referrals to government hospitals or other medical institutions.
Screening Items
• Echocardiogram
• Blood tests (blood glucose, cholesterol)
• Blood pressure measurements
• Electrocardiogram (ECG)
• Atrial fibrillation detection
• Urinalysis (urine protein index)
• Participants must be aged 65 or above
• Have not been diagnosed with hypertension, high cholesterol, or high blood glucose
• Have not been diagnosed with heart disease
• Participants must be permanent residents of Hong Kong
• Individual applications
• Private institution applications
• Already diagnosed with heart disease
• Patients already being followed up by a cardiologist or Hospital Authority
